It was by facing the cold that the members of the Village Passion club came to participate this Sunday, January 12 in the Aude Table Tennis Cup. This year, it was the Narbonne club which organized and received the table tennis players from the Aude clubs. Everyone came to compete in the hope of bringing a new cup to the club. The Sallois table tennis players came in numbers: 16 participants in total including 6 young people (under 18 years old) which is their best participation today. Unfortunately their opponents were formidable and no one came out victorious. Despite their disappointment, the competitors of the Village Passion club are happy with their efforts and see their level progress with each competition. “ The results ultimately don't matter, the objective of the year is to reach the level of certain clubs to be able to gain the upper hand for the next edition.explains Thierry the president.
They are not very far from it because some young people like Mathis and Samuel, came close to victory, by finishing 4th in their group, or by putting down the racket in the quarter-finals. Houcine Guerbi, their favorite veteran, undefeated within the club, finished second in the semi-final and leaves with a medal.
