A few months after his appointment as head of the Ministry of Health, Yannick Neuder will return to Isère this Monday, January 20. The former deputy for the 7th district of the department is expected at the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM) in Grenoble.
This is a second trip to the Alps in less than 10 days for the new Minister responsible for Health appointed on December 23 by Prime Minister François Bayrou. Last Saturday, Yannick Neuder went at the Pays de Savoie private hospital (HPPS) located in Annemasse in Haute-Savoie to provide support to the six caregivers who were attacked.
The Minister responsible for Health, a cardiologist by profession, is therefore expected early this Monday morning at the CPAM in Isère. After a meeting with staff, Yannick Neuder will discuss with the various stakeholders from the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM), the Grenoble Primary Health Insurance Fund as well as the Grenoble public prosecutor Eric Vaillant.
-Various topics must be addressed during this round table such as “the registration of interregional centers of judicial investigators (PIEJ)” or the actions of “investigators center“of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions, details the ministry in a press release.
The Grenoble public prosecutor's office has already established a partnership with the Isère Family Allowance Fund. An unprecedented local initiative which makes it possible to reduce or even eliminate rights to social benefits for drug traffickers.
The Minister of Health Yannick Neuder will continue his trip to the CPAM with a visit to the fraud services before concluding his morning with a press briefing in front of accredited journalists.
The challenge of this trip to the CPAM of Isère is to reaffirm “the anti-fraud strategy” of the new government. In a context of budgetary rigor, the Ministry of Health seems to want to step up its fight against Health Insurance fraud.
According to the latest report published in 2023, the CNAM detected and stopped a record amount of 466 million euros, an increase of around 50% compared to 2022. And the department of Isère is not spared from these embezzlements. In 2022, investigators from the Grenoble CPAM had detected a total amount of 4.2 million euros in damage, including 1.3 million euros in damage avoided.
