A game of billiards got out of hand last night in a bar in Pattaya, the famous Thai seaside town. Shortly after 12:30 a.m., the police and emergency services intervened for a man injured in the wrist. He was treated and taken to hospital, although his injury does not appear to be serious. Checks must be carried out. He is a 36-year-old Swiss man.
According to the local press, an altercation broke out after a game between two men. A 30-year-old Thai man, particularly drunk, police said, accused the Swiss national of cheating. He then grabbed a pool cue and started hitting him, inflicting his injury.
This man claimed to have first been attacked by the Swiss 30-year-old before fighting back, which was not confirmed by the bar owner. He was arrested by law enforcement.
