“Dancing with the Stars” season 14 is (almost) gone. The casting of the twelve future participants has been made official by TF1, as has the launch date, scheduled for next Friday February 7 at 9:10 p.m. The professional dancer-celebrity pairs are still kept secret, as is the identity of the dancers. We nevertheless know that Christophe Licata, Inès Reg's partner last year and unfortunate actor in the clash between the comedian and Natasha St-Pier, will be there. He thus announced to the “Parisien” that after this difficult season for him and despite his reservations, he would finally be back.
Christophe Licata stays, Anthony Colette leaves
“Thirteen seasons, I thought it was good. But end on something like the Inès affair – Natashait left a bad aftertaste. However, in November, when production called me to come back, I initially refused. And when they introduced me to the personality with whom they were asking me to dance, and whose identity I won't reveal to you, I was touched to the heart.“, he confided. The atmosphere is completely different on the side of Anthony Colette, winner of the trophy in 2024 with Natasha St-Pier and a figure in the program since 2017.
The dancer and choreographer indicated this to his fans in an Instagram post published this Wednesday, January 15. “Thanks for the memories“, he began before explaining: “It was my last season, my last dance“However, he was careful to add that it was not him who had decided to leave “Dancing with the Stars”: “It would be a lie to pretend that I voluntarily chose to end this adventure now. I'm also not going to pretend that it was the right time, because I haven't decided anything.“. And to reveal that he does not “did not necessarily understand the reasons for [son] absence“. But Anthony Colette accepts this decision: “Other things await me. Life is like this, you have to know how to adapt, so I will adapt“even if he regrets”for being too nice and naive sometimes“.
In “Le Parisien”, Christophe Licata did not hesitate to criticize the victory of his colleague. “We experienced injustice. We had the best grades with Inès. There was a big gap with the others. […] We were the best, period.“And to add on his relationship with the dancer:”He's a work colleague that I like, but I won't go and spend a weekend at his place.“
Natasha St-Pier pays tribute to her partner
Anthony Colette's publication on Instagram caused a lot of reactions, notably his latest partner, Natasha St-Pier, who paid tribute to him in the comments: “I don't know anyone as kind and human as you. This show loses a rare gem. […] My heart is sad.“A feeling shared by judge Jean-Marc Généreux:”You are a warrior, you have already accomplished so much at your young age and you have so much left to accomplish. You have always met expectations and met all challenges in “Dancing with the stars” […] I'm going to miss you“. Other faces of the program, like the dancers Inès Vandamme, Denitsa Ikonomova (who left the show in 2022) and Elsa Bois gave their support to their now ex-colleague.
