€3,700 stolen

On October 29, a couple from Arras and their little boy arrived by car, rue des Oiseaux, in Draveil. They came buy a motocross after spotting an ad, which tempted them, on the Leboncoin site.

It is 3:25 p.m. Two individuals, hooded and masked, appear and threaten them with a knife. They grab the little boy, just nine years old, put a knife to his throat and are given the 3,700 euros which was the price set for this transaction.

The two robbers run away and in the rush, one of them loses the surgical mask which covered his face.

Their DNA found

Fifteen days later, on November 10, still on rue des Oiseaux, a father and his son fall into the same trap. But the ambush turns into a fight. In the crowd, the father receives a stab in the thigh and chin, before his attackers flee, without their loot this time. On the ground, a dreadlock, which was torn off during the struggle, will be found.

Following these two particularly violent attacks, the judicial police are carrying out their investigation. The results of DNA analyzes make it possible to go back up the trail of two young people, recently adults, who live in Montgeron. They are arrested and then placed in police custody.

One of them, Cheik S., recognizes the facts of October 29 while his alleged accomplice, Ricardo D., confessed to the attack of November 10 and denied his participation in the first, even though his cell phone was 126 meters from the scene of the ambush. While awaiting their trial, Cheik S. was placed under judicial supervision while Ricardo D was imprisoned.

3 years of imprisonment

This Friday, January 10, Cheik S. seems almost serene. Before explaining himself to his judges, he chatted quietly in front of the Évry-Courcouronnes judicial court, with a smile on his lips, in a form of casualness regarding the serious facts with which he is accused. As at the bar, he appears detached. He did not find it useful to be assisted by a lawyer for his defense.

In his box, his accomplice seems paralyzed. He suffers from a language disorder which prevents him from expressing himself. Between two stutters, he failed to convince that he was not present on the day of the first attack.

Cheik S. evokes the story of a debt, which he allegedly contracted with a drug dealer in his neighborhood, to explain his involvement in the facts. His story, far-fetched, failed to win the judges' decision.

The two individuals were each sentenced to 3 years in prison accompanied by a two-year suspended sentence. They will also have to substantially compensate the victims.
