Casa Sports risks not collecting the solidarity contribution following the transfer of Nicolas Jackson, the club’s former striker, now under contract with Chelsea. A sum estimated at 185,000 euros (approximately 121,350,000 million CFA francs). Equivalent to 5% of the total compensation (around 37 million), it is paid to the clubs in which the player played between his 12th and 23rd birthday.
According to our colleagues from Sport News Africa who provided the information, the FIFA clearing house, in an official letter dated January 7, rejected Casa Sports’ request regarding the said solidarity contribution on the grounds that the Senegalese Football Federation had not registered Casa Sports in the player’s electronic passport. “Citing several regulatory articles, FIFA explains that if the club wants to assert its rights and continue its efforts, it must file a complaint against the FSF, therefore against its own federation, with the FIFA disciplinary committee,” reads -on in the SNA columns.
Born in Banjul to a Gambian father and a Senegalese mother, Nicolas Jackson emerged as a footballer in Senegal. With Casa Sports, he even joined the U20 selection which ultimately convinced Villarreal to sign the player in the summer of 2019.
-When contacted, the FSF did not respond to Sport News Africa’s questions on the subject.
