As part of the competition for the best cake 2025the home of the bakery and pastry shop of Seine-et-Marne awarded third place to the Douceau houseestablishment located in the town of Nangis. An intense but difficult activity, since the premises are limited in surface area and on several levels. Enough to push the Douceau couple to acquire new premises 10 years ago and to move a little further away in the same street, to number 29.

A new store, better located and much larger (surface area of 300 m2) which enabled the achievement of a new objective: the addition of the bakery activity. The company currently employs 11 employees for all of its activities: four in sales, two in bakery and five in pastry. The basic principle of Maison Douceau: to offer quality products, homemade with good raw materials. Thus, the Label Rouge and CRC flours from Moulins Foricher are used in the bakery to make quality bread.

Another characteristic of Maison Douceau, Denis' competitive spirit which has allowed him to be rewarded numerous times for his pain au chocolat and his éclairs. This time, it's for his pancakes, prepared by his right arm in pastry and an expert in the field, Thomasthat the Nangissian house obtained a new price.
