In the evening of Friday January 10, 2025to the community hallheld the 5e vows ceremony 2025 in the town of La Hague (Manche), this time in Sainte-Croix-Haguein the presence of Jean-Luc Renouf, deputy mayorManuela Mahier, mayor of La Hague, and several elected officials from the territory.

After having mentioned different international events who marked 2024 with their darkness, the mayor began his speech by addressing a major concernrecurring during the vows ceremonies in La Hague: securing the RD 22.
He also mentioned the planned work by the Manche departmental council, which will extend over a minimum of four months, to renovate the covering of the RD 22 (at the level of crossroads of Pelles-Bacchus) and part of the D901between Bacchus and the Fosse-Yvon.
In parallel with these renovations, we ask that the necessary security at the Hutret and Bacchus crossroads be integrated into the project.
Jean-Luc Renouf also highlighted the worrying increase of road traffic et excessive speedswho pose real problems for residentsparticularly at the level of Hutret crossroads.

The first magistrate reaffirmed that road safetyand in particular that of the RD 22, is a priority.
-It is essential that the RD 22 is secured.
Concerning the work planned on the RD 22 and D 901 in 2025, she regretted that the departmental council had not yet integrated safety measures into its plans.
She also indicated that she had requested by mail that these arrangements be included to anticipate the increase in road traffic.

“What I said to the Department is that we are working on an alternative to the car pour access the factory of Orano. Today we face parking problems. If nothing is done, the situation will be catastrophic, both on the roads and on the site itself. It is not a question of sacrifice agricultural land pour build parking lots. »
She emphasized the importance of work in consultation with the territory, the inhabitants and the elected officials: “We can only rejoice at this economic development, which benefits our children and the whole of Cotentin. However, it should not be to the detriment of residents. The Hague must take its full place in these decisions, because they directly concern its territory. Some things are non-negotiable, and among them, the living environment and habitability. »
