On this Wednesday, January 15, 2025, the Orange telephone network, mainly in the Tulle basin in Corrèze, is at a standstill. The fault lies with a breakdown, which was triggered around 5 a.m., according to information provided by the Corrèze Prefecture. At the last update made on social networks at 9 a.m., the situation had still not returned to normal, with an outage apparently starting from “a local server”.
Calls to the Gendarmes switched to Haute-Vienne, reachable on the 18th
Early in the morning, the emergency numbers 15 and 17 in the police zone were still inaccessible. In the gendarmerie zone, calls to 17 were switched to colleagues in Haute-Vienne, while this network failure was repaired by Orange teams.
The firefighters, for their part, were able to switch to a satellite telephone. It is therefore advisable, in the event of an emergency, to dial 18 in order to be able to reach SDIS 19.
