“I know the way”

Following his appointment, Yannick Borelexpressed his great satisfaction. With his background, he is convinced of being able to bring his expertise to young aspiring fencers:

I am motivated, curious and excited at the idea of being able to do what I have always tried to do in a different way, that is to say giving back to young people what I myself received when I was young. Now I have a rich experience, I knew the path of the club, since I was in the circle of fencers of Pointe-à-Pitre. I went through this structure, the CREPS Antilles-Guyane. At the time it was a small four-track venue. I then went to CREPS in , after which I studied at INSEP for 15-16 years. I returned to the club last season. So I did the whole course, let's say federal, classic, in any case for a sportsman. So I know the way. By taking on this role of advisor, I can bring my expertise, my experience to our young people who need it, I think. We must continue this tradition of sport in Guadeloupe, this tradition of excellence, so that in 4 years, in 8 years, we will still have other Guadeloupean athletes who make , but also our territory in Guadeloupe, shine.
