With the beautiful snow that has come to the province over the past few days, skiers and snowboarders can only think of one thing: hitting the slopes. For those who live in Montreal or Quebec, here are 29 mountains that you can climb down without breaking the bank.
Snowsuits, equipment, season pass, cost of gas: skiing and snowboarding are far from being the least expensive sports to practice, but there are ways to save on ticket prices by choose your mountain and time of day carefully.
Some advice
First of all, here are three tips for saving on your tickets:
1- Be flexible in your schedule
Some big mountains offer lower rates on evenings or even weekdays, so if your schedule allows you a little flexibility, it may be worth skiing outside of popular times to save a little money.
2- Plan half days
Many ski centers also offer half days, or even blocks of 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or even 4 hours, which cost less than a full day. A few more intensive hours may be enough to earn yourself an après-ski hot chocolate.

3- Purchase online rather than at the station
Some ski resorts offer discounts on purchasing a day ticket online rather than on site. It is therefore worth checking before traveling.
4- Local residents pay less
If you live near a ski center, check its website: some of them offer discounts to local residents.
