On Friday March 14, 2025, the prestigious Paris-Nice cycling race will cross the department of Gard during its sixth stage, linking Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban to Berre-l'Étang. With a length of 209.8 km, this stage is among the highlights of this 2025 edition, notably with weather conditions, possibly windy, which could disrupt the progress of the events
The peloton will enter Gard at Pont-Saint-Esprit after covering 62 km in Ardèche. The runners will then reach Bagnols-sur-Cèze, then face the coast of Pouzilhacclassified in third category, ideal for scoring points in the climbers' ranking. They will continue their route towards Remoulins before crossing the Rhône to reach Provence.
The mistral, often feared in this region, could play a determining role in creating borders and disrupting the teams' strategy. This wind, which frequently blows in the Rhône valley, will add suspense to this decisive stage.
