But everyone in the douar considered them married. Certainly, his neighbors who did not understand what happened to him tried to intervene to calm him down. Unfortunately, with a knife in his hand, he began threatening to kill his daughter if anyone dared to approach his home. Fearing the worst, an agent alerted the royal gendarmerie. They immediately rushed to the scene. The situation was delicate. The police surrounded the scene. Negotiations were initiated with the girl’s father so that things did not go wrong. They had to wait for hours more. However, her mother and daughter could no longer stand hunger and thirst. The gendarmes asked him to give them food and water. But in vain.
Saturday morning, January 11, the bloodhounds of the royal gendarmerie made the decision to put an end to their suffering. But he anticipated their attack by stabbing his knife into his daughter’s chest. The police immediately intervened and managed to save the mother. An ambulance evacuated the girl to the emergency department of the provincial hospital in Sidi Bennour.
But she died before getting there. As for the father, he was arrested and held in police custody before being brought before the general prosecutor’s office at the Court of Appeal of El Jadida.
