(New York) Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin was suspended for one game on Wednesday for inappropriate behavior and verbal abuse against a referee.

Mathurin was penalized for his actions with 3:58 left in the Pacers’ eventual 127-117 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
The Quebecer will therefore miss Thursday’s duel between the Pacers and the Pistons in Detroit.
In 41 games this season, Mathurin averaged 16.5 points.
