The two young players (21 years old) were targeted by accusations of rape last summer by a 39-year-old Argentinian woman. The alleged events occurred at the beginning of July in a hotel in Mendoza (west), following a meeting of the XV of France.
On December 10, the Argentine courts dismissed the case. But the plaintiff's lawyers appealed the decision to dismiss the charges. The appeal will be studied at the beginning of 2025. Thus, the legal episode is not closed.

This Monday, January 13, on RMC, Fabien Galthié indicated that Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou were “candidates for the French team due to their performances”. “From the start, we said that we were waiting for the court decision and that we have confidence in it,” continued the coach. […] We waited for the different stages until the case was dismissed, which means that there is a total acquittal of both players.”
