“It is a tradition to which we willingly subscribe because it is synonymous with optimism and kindness. Two words that are no longer very popular at the moment and that's a shame. This tradition is that of the good wishes that I would like to send at the start of the year to all the inhabitants of Pas-de-Calais, wishes for full health first of all – the most precious good -, then fulfillment and finally personal and collective success. 2025 begins in an anxiety-provoking context, both nationally and internationally. May reason and dialogue return and prevail in the weeks and months ahead. Reason and dialogue, two values to which the Department of Pas-de-Calais, which I have the honor of chairing, is deeply attached. A community which, despite the economic situation, will strive as always to stand alongside all residents, its partners and the projects of towns and villages; these projects which make Pas-de-Calais what it is today: an attractive, imaginative, warm land! So yes, in 2025, the Departmental Council will continue to work with all its might for the good of everyone, for the development of its territories, for the construction of a future that gives smiles to children.
