The bodies of two homeless people were found this Sunday, January 12, late in the morning around 11:30 a.m. in Avignon. Along the D907, below the embankment, a stone’s throw from the Lidl store, route de Montfavet, firefighters were responding to a brush fire.
It turns out that in the camp of around sixty m2, the charred bodies of two individuals were found. The judicial police were dispatched to the site, as well as judicial identification.
One of the two individuals was tied up with his hands behind his back.
In front of the ten police officers, the camp extinguished by the firefighters was still smoking around 2:30 p.m., with the two corpses, one of which is visible, lying on their stomachs. According to information from Provenceone of the two individuals was tied with his hands behind his back while cables were found tied around the neck of the second corpse.
An investigation has been opened. The deputy prosecutor, Nicolas Delpierre, is also on site.
