The diplomatic standoff continues between Algiers and this Sunday, January 12. The Quai d’Orsay has in fact publicly responded to the Algerian press release stating that the attempt to expel the influencer was “arbitrary and abusive”, ensuring that has not said its last word.

Algeria considers itself “in no way engaged in a logic of escalation, one-upmanship or humiliation”. This is what we can read in this press release sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

France “will have no other option than to respond”

A response to the declarations of Bruno Retailleau and Jean-Noël Barrot. The attempted expulsion from Doualemn was, I quote, “arbitrary and abusive” in the eyes of Algiers, which believes that this prevented the influencer from asserting his rights both before the French and European courts.

In other words, Algiers decides to deliberately mock Paris by playing on the subtleties of our law. But at this stage, no reaction. On the French side, the Quai d’Orsay simply recalls the comments made on Friday January 10 by Jean-Noël Barrot. “If the Algerians continue this escalation, then we will have no other option than to respond,” explained the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
