The prize in the “Doctoral” category was awarded to Ahmed Belgaid for his thesis “HR practices of large companies testing the professional inclusion of people with disabilities in Morocco” and that of the “Accounting expertise” category was given to Ayoub Lagrane for his dissertation “Asset management and land rights in the cement industry and management of specific risks: Methodological approach for the attention of the consulting accountant”. In the “Master” category, the prize was awarded to Nouhaila Cherkaoui for her dissertation “The trajectories of the failure of Moroccan companies”.
Thus, a trophy was given to each candidate in the running for the competition prize which has a prize worth 30,000 dirhams for the best thesis prize, 30,000 dirhams for the best expert dissertation prize. accountant and 15,000 dirhams for the prize for the best research master’s thesis.
During this ceremony, the Director General of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, Tarik Senhaji underlined the importance of accounting experts as “trusted third parties” in the Moroccan economy, highlighting the trust that the public places in accounting experts, in particularly through an ecosystem that strengthens year after year.
He also praised the commitment of academic actors, notably Hassan II University, for their partnership, emphasizing the need to maintain fruitful cooperation with universities and young researchers.
Furthermore, Mr. Senhaji encouraged young people to perceive the economy and finance as sectors where they can not only learn but also plan to build the future of the Kingdom.
According to him, the record for the largest volume of transactions carried out on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, since 2010 and the crossing for the first time of the 15,000 point mark of the MASI index, are the fruit of the constant commitment of economic actors and financial, notably the OEC and partner universities.
For his part, the president of the OEC, Faïçal Mekouar, recalled, in a speech read on his behalf by Sophia Guessous, member of the Order, that this event was not aimed at rewarding performance or material benefits, but to celebrate the knowledge and commitment of researchers.
Mr. Mekouar noted that research is above all an adventure that requires patience and self-sacrifice, noting that behind each research work lies a fundamental contribution to the advancement and development of society.

For his part, the president of the Scientific Commission of the OEC Research Prize, Abdellatif Komat welcomed the OEC initiative, noting that today there are very few similar initiatives to promote the scientific research in Morocco.
He also emphasized the harmonious cooperation between accounting experts and the academic world, referring to the cordial meetings within the steering committee which made it possible to create a dynamic of respectful and constructive collaboration.
For him, “this synergy has made it possible to promote scientific research while strengthening the social and societal responsibility of the two major players: the Order of Chartered Accountants and the university body”.
This ceremony was marked by the holding of a conference under the theme “Digital and artificial intelligence, drivers of performance for businesses” which was an opportunity to explore how digital technologies and artificial intelligence can be powerful levers to improve the efficiency, innovation and competitiveness of businesses.
