The Private University of Fez is launching its 9th HR Forum, an unmissable event for employment. On January 9 and 10, 2025, more than 40 companies and public organizations will meet students and candidates. Conferences, internship and job opportunities are on the program, in addition to a focus on the impact of AI.

The Private University of Fez (UPF) kicked off its 9th HR Forum on Thursday, January 9, an event that has become an essential part of the establishment’s academic calendar. Taking place over two days, January 9 and 10, this edition promises to be particularly dynamic, with the participation of more than 40 companies from various sectors of activity, as well as that of state organizations.

This forum represents a unique exchange and recruitment platform, aiming to facilitate the professional integration of students and connect them to the realities of the job market. During his speech, Mohammed Aziz Lahlou, president of the UPF, underlined the university’s strong commitment to the employability of its students.

“Our university places the employability and success of its students at the heart of its mission,” he said.

He highlighted the convincing results of this approach, with more than 85% of graduates finding employment within six months of obtaining their diploma. A figure which testifies, according to him, to the effectiveness of the educational methods and support offered by the UPF.

Supporting innovation
The university not only prepares its students to enter the job market, but also encourages innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. To do this, the UPF has set up an incubator, Cube 789, a nod to the date of creation of the city of Fez.

This dedicated space serves as an innovation laboratory. Students and young entrepreneurs benefit from personalized support, resources, mentoring and a network of partners to realize their projects and transform them into viable businesses.

The UPF adopts a resolutely pragmatic and forward-looking educational approach. Beyond theoretical knowledge, the university offers practical training, specialized workshops, round tables and immersive internships.

This approach aims, according to those in charge, to prepare students to meet the challenges of the job market and to transform them into key players in their respective fields, capable of adapting to a constantly evolving professional environment. Partnerships forged with the national and regional socio-economic fabric play a key role in this approach, offering students direct access to professional realities and the expectations of recruiters.

AI, entrepreneurship and Global 2030 at the heart of the Forum
The HR Forum started with a series of conferences, training courses and panels addressing current issues. Participants were able to attend presentations on “The Impact of AI on employability”, “Transformation towards AI”, “The 2030 World Cup: challenges met and targeted sectors”, and discover success stories inspiring. These sessions explored current employment challenges and entrepreneurial opportunities, providing a holistic view of market trends and prospects.

One of the strengths of the forum lies in the direct meetings between students, winners, external candidates and companies. These interactions made it possible to exchange ideas, build relationships and participate in interviews for End-of-Studies Project (PFE) internships and jobs. The diversity of sectors represented, ranging from finance to industry to information technology, offered a wide range of opportunities for participants.

According to UPF officials, the 9th UPF HR Forum is part of a global approach aimed at supporting students throughout their journey, from academic training to professional integration. By promoting exchanges between the academic and professional worlds, the University strengthens its role as a major player in the economic and social development of the region and the country. This event illustrates its desire to train qualified profiles, adapted to the needs of the market, and capable of actively contributing to society.
