The Orne department was affected by heavy rain this Wednesday, January 8, 2025. A situation which is not exceptional, but which caused many rivers to overflow. The floods made a number of roads impassable, and these were quickly closed to traffic.
In a press release, the president of the Department Christophe de Balorre calls on motorists “to be extremely vigilant, particularly at nightfall, which reduces visibility in the face of possible obstacles”. He advises motorists who cannot postpone their trips to avoid small roads and favor main roads.
