Because like every year since his election as president of the community, Bruno Bernard appears on the front page of the metropolitan magazine Met' this January.
Its detractors went so far as to contact the regional chamber of accounts on this subject, because the front page of the magazine also appears on advertising billboards in the city. The Republicans thus accused the ecologist of “make propaganda with taxpayers’ taxes”.
If the financial judges have not yet ruled on this point, Bruno Bernard is not giving up his traditional photo accompanied by an interview which ends up in residents' mailboxes.
And a year and a half before the metropolitan elections, the president of the community takes stock, inevitably positive, of his action.
“Every day we improve the daily lives of residents”even congratulates Bruno Bernard, who begins his interview with the only negative point: the construction sites.
But he asks the Grands Lyonnais to be patient and above all, he sees this as excellent economic news because these projects “represent important contracts for our companies, particularly in the building and public works sector”. Unstoppable.
In 2025, Bruno Bernard announces four highlights: the arrival of electric Vélo'v at the end of January, the total pedestrianization of Rue de la République in Lyon, the launch of river shuttles in June and the delivery of Place Béraudier to La Part -God.
As for the achievement of which he is most proud, Bruno Bernard cites the compost terminals. “It’s simple and it works”he concludes, recalling that 10,000 tonnes of compost have been recovered since the launch of the concept.
See you next year!
