The General Assembly of the Moroccan Education for Employment Foundation (EFE-Morocco), meeting this Tuesday, January 7, 2025, proceeded with the renewal of the board of directors and the election of the new executive office of the foundation , at its head, Ms. Laila Slassi Sennou as the new President of EFE-Maroc.
Ms. Slassi Sennou, administrator since 2019 and vice-president during the past mandate, was elected President of the Foundation for a three-year term running from January 2025 to January 2027. The Vice-President will be ensured by Ms. Soraya SEBTI, engaged within the board of directors of the foundation for several years.
The new President succeeds Amine Berrada Sounni who was praised for his commitment and dedication to the EFE mission and for his exceptional achievements during his mandate as president.
During the handover, Mr. Amine Berrada Sounni, thanked the administrators for their trust and declared: “I am satisfied and proud of the work accomplished and serenely that EFE-Maroc will continue to fight the scourge of youth unemployment, tirelessly , under the presidency of Laila Slassi and the vice-presidency of Soraya Sebti.
During his mandate, Mr. Amine Berrada Sounni and Ms. Laila Slassi Sennou were able to establish a very impactful dual governance model which resulted in the realization of several ambitious and structural projects of the EFE-Morocco foundation.
Thanks to the implementation of the project “ A Chance to RESET »which enabled the professional integration of more than 6,200 young people in three years, the launch of EFE-Maroc Academy, the first social enterprise created by an association and the organization of MENA YES, Mr. Amine Berrada Sounni and Ms. Laila Slassi were able to strengthen the positioning of EFE-Maroc as a key player in the employability of young people in Morocco.
Through the appointment of Ms. Laila Slassi Sennou as the new president of the foundation, the Board of Directors of EFE-Maroc reaffirms its commitment to this strategy and aspires to maintain the positive momentum that has marked the Foundation’s achievements. in recent years.
Laureate of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, Panthéon-Assas and Paris Dauphine universities, Ms. Laila Slassi Sennou is founder and managing partner of the legal consultancy firm Afrique Advisors created on her return to Morocco after experience as a lawyer at the Paris Bar in within an American law firm. Specializing in business law, she regularly supports private and public actors as well as foreign investors operating in Morocco and on the African continent.
Alongside her legal activity, Ms. Slassi is actively involved in civil society initiatives aimed at promoting a regulatory framework favorable to entrepreneurship, startups, and the economic inclusion of women while defending their fundamental rights. It also works for the preservation and promotion of rural know-how, thus contributing to the protection of the cultural and artisanal heritage of the territories.
The new president is therefore very committed to the empowerment of young people in Morocco and brings her expertise and advice to support more inclusive economic development in the Kingdom.
