The Calvados department is meeting with its Vélodays, from May 1 to June 1, 2025 to “highlight all facets of cycling”, announces the departmental council at the start of 2025.
A month of “festivities” before the Tour de France: a time trial in Caen on July 9 and the Bayeux-Vire stage on July 10.
Activities, discoveries, visits, initiations
The activities will be structured “around a traveling village. »
This new event, called Vélodays, will be popular, family-friendly and festive. It will be aimed at enthusiasts as well as novices, amateurs as well as professionals, young and old alike… alone, with family or friends, everyone will find events, activities, discoveries, visits or initiations within their reach.
Three itinerant villages in Clécy, Isigny-sur-Mer and Ouistreham
The Vélodays traveling village will be deployed in three towns in Calvados:
- Sunday May 4 in Clécy
- Sunday May 25 in Isigny-sur-Mer
- Sunday June 1st in Ouistreham
The public “will be able to discover numerous free activities as well as shows and strolls. From each village, a bike ride will be offered.
Around fifty events over a month
Alongside the village, around fifty activities will be offered throughout the department: hikes, visits, challenges/competitions, workshops, demonstrations, initiations, etc.
