It is one of the rarest cars in . In 2024, it is one of those to have only been sold once.

Of the million and a half cars registered in France in 2024, some stand out for their exceptional character. In the cozy world of luxury automobiles, wealthy buyers treat themselves to vehicles with excessive performance and unique design.

In this very exclusive category, we find prestigious models like the Audi A8, sold from 100,000 euros, or even vehicles from the GT range from Mercedes-Benz. These cars will only be sold in a few dozen units in France in 2024, according to a study carried out by NGC-DATA, a firm specializing in automotive data processing. This firm analyzed the hundreds of thousands of registrations for the year 2024 to discover the rarest models.

Among these luxury vehicles, one of them stands out for its absolute rarity. Only one copy was registered in France this year.

It's a very special model: the V12 Speedster from the English luxury car brand Aston Martin. A very particular model because, true to the tradition of speedsters, this car does not have a windshield.

This British creation embodies automotive excellence. A unique style, inspired by the iconic Aston Martin DBR1, a car “absolutely perfect down to the smallest detail” even said Forbes magazine. Indeed, the DBR1 marked its era by winning the 24 Hours of in the 1950s.

Initially designed for the circuit, this V12 Speedster has been adapted for road use, while maintaining its exceptional performance with a top speed of 318 km/h for 690 horsepower, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in barely 3.4 seconds.

Such a level of performance and exclusivity naturally comes at a price: 1.1 million euros, to be one of the 88 lucky owners worldwide. Because yes, the Aston Martin V12 Speedster is limited to 88 units worldwide.

The Aston Martin V12 Speedster is not the only one to experience such confidential distribution. Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini also offer models sold individually, but it is the British brand Rolls-Royce which has the most vehicles registered in single units in France, according to the NGC-DATA study. This rarity is explained by the artisanal nature of production, each Rolls-Royce being assembled by hand. In 2024, only five Rolls-Royces have found buyers on French territory.

It should be noted, however, that this data could change, as the NGC-DATA study is based on registration declarations from the Ministry of the Interior between January 1 and October 13, 2024. Other luxury vehicles may have be registered at the end of 2024.
