Police in Kingston, Ontario, advised the public Monday that a cyberattack is increasing wait times for some of its services, but says it continues to respond to urgent calls just as quickly.

She was alerted to the problem Friday by what she initially thought was a problem with her computer network.

When they realized that it was a cyber incident, the police said in a press release that they immediately implemented mitigation measures, including closing access, to protect the public, staff, data and the organization.
