Tributes pour in
A central figure in Savoyard politics over the last four decades, Jean-Claude Léger has received multiple tributes in recent hours.
Starting with the City of Cluses, which speaks of “a committed man, passionate about public affairs, of great humanity and close to his fellow citizens. »
The current mayor, Jean-Philippe Mas underlines the time he devoted to the commune.
Loic Hervé, senator, also paid tribute to him. “Gaullist, industrialist engaged in politics, convinced that the economic future of Haute-Savoie was at stake elsewhere in the world, Jean-Claude was obsessed with the idea of better structuring our production tool on the model of Italian clusters”, he writes.
He died at the Sallanches hospital, a few kilometers from his hometown.
