The “Little Wonderful World of Santons” is on display again this Sunday, January 5, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the community hall of La Terrisse, commune of Argences-en-Aubrac to extend the holiday celebrations.
Rémi Nayrolles, passionate, offers a journey from the Orient to Aubrac, via Provence, through his approximately 2000 figurines. A magical moment which enjoys incredible success with the local population but also with curious people who sometimes come from abroad. “It’s very moving to see the elders whose memories come to the surface by seeing the professions of yesteryear, life in their time…” confides Rémi.
Unique and artisanal pieces
The latter did not count the hours to bring to life precisely his numerous sketches which make this exhibition one of the most beautiful on figurines in France. It must be said that Rémi works with artisanal manufacturers to create unique pieces and goes to trade shows such as the one in Orange, in Vaucluse, the most important on the subject.
There is no doubt that there will still be a lot of people this Sunday, January 5 afternoon to get back together (santons or not) around a cake.
