End of the school holidays, not motivated to go on the road, so we take out the skins for a little outing near the house.
First climb: straight into the black “Ébats”, no conversion, we climb straight up.
Second climb: direction the red “Chamois”, a little quieter.
Third climb: we take the snowshoe trail. It's a little chaotic at the start, with a big lack of snow in the forest, but once past this sector, it goes well and the ride becomes super pleasant.
Weather wise : beautiful sky in the morning, but it gets cloudy quickly. A little windy at the top, but nothing icy, quite pleasant overall.
Snow : quite light. At the top, 15 cm of fresh air appeared. But there is no bottom, so it hits everywhere off-piste. The slopes are in very good condition and really pleasant.
A great little outing above the house before the bad weather hits!
Practical information : the resort will ban ski touring on the area during weekends and school holidays. Too many people get back in the middle of the slopes, and that ends up being a problem…
