The patrons' club of the Côte-d'Or Heritage Foundation met in Meursault to decide on the distribution of the club's donations. The eight private donors paid €30,000 and the Foundation's regional delegates proposed five projects that could receive their help. For each of the projects, the sponsorship delegate, Hervé Bouriette, presented the history of the buildings, the work to be undertaken and the financial needs expressed by the municipalities concerned.

Each patron then had the opportunity to choose four projects. After some discussions, the club's choice fell on the wash house of Grancey-le-Château, the churches of Urcy and Châtellenot and the collegiate church of Semur-en-Auxois (read elsewhere).

Around 300 projects supported in the region

The Burgundy-Franche-Comté delegation, led by Jean-Christophe Bonnard, a resident of Corcelles-les-Arts, supports around 300 projects per year, 61 of which are currently collecting donations. They can be supported individually by check or online on the Fondation-patrimoine.org website. The site also allows you to track the amounts received as a prize pool.

Among the eight departments of the region, , Yonne, Haute-Saône and Côte-d'Or have a patrons' club. A fifth of these clubs could see the light of day in Saône-et-.

The purpose of the end of the meeting was to consider ways to attract new members and create new clubs.

The Saint-Médard d’Urcy church

The Saint-Médard church, in Urcy, is one of the rare churches built in the first half of the 19th century.e century. The poet Lamartine, who stayed at the Château d'Urcy in 1823, had the choir painted. The first of the three phases of work concerns serious structural disorders, particularly at the level of the bell tower. But the lack of waterproofing of the roofs dangerously damages the frames and masonry. The cost of the work is estimated at €285,000, of which €100,000 remains to be collected. The club has decided to contribute €4,000.
