These are places that encourage living together. This famous social bond so sought after by local authorities, the town of Terrasson-Lavilledieux seems to have found it. The municipality invests around 1.2 million euros per year in social policy.
Among its flagship actions, we can cite the free media library for residents, access to the municipal cinema whose entry ticket is 6.50 euros, but also the municipal sports school to encourage sports practice for all. In addition, the city has been developing a shared gardens project since 2021 which is part of its proactive policy aimed at restoring the attractiveness of neighborhoods.
A craze of the population
“The idea came from the inhabitants of Terrasson themselves. They spontaneously began to cultivate a plot of land at the foot of their building. We wanted to continue this initiative, but out of caution we first carried out a survey of those administered”explains Jean-Yves Vergne, deputy town hall of Terrasson-Lavilledieu in charge, among other things, of sustainable development. Given the positive responses, elected officials felt a real enthusiasm for a shared garden project
