My daughter being a little tired these last few days, I promised her yesterday a spa and cinema day today… without suspecting that the conditions would be just as tempting for downhill skiing this morning when I woke up ????. But a promise is a promise…
As often lately, it snowed less here than in the Northern Alps (rather 5 to 10 cm m at Le Rosier, at 1375 m altitude)… but that shouldn't have done any harm, given that small stones had been appearing on many trails for several days.
In the absence of powder in the trees, I treat myself to a little skating session. If the painting of the night gave a magnificent winter atmosphere to the landscapes (and allowed a de facto, but unofficial, reopening of the Alberts toboggan run), for sliding, it's not great. It is certainly pleasant to ski on velvet (the grooming – very good – took place after the slight fall during the night), but it is not making any progress. I feel like I have the cardio of a hippopotamus tackling Everest ????, in other words I'm out of breath after three pushes ????. It's not today that I'm going to beat my records on Strava ????.
No matter, it's so pleasant to evolve in such landscapes… I put myself in endurance mode to try to hold on, I multiply the breaks of all kinds and that's it.
Despite this small fall, the opening of the slopes has not changed since my live on Monday here, with the two green loops (plains of Alberts and Rosier), the return connection via the campsite, the blue Petite Pinatelle and the free initiation loop.
For the score, it's more like 4 or 5 for the landscapes, 2 for the skiing, in short 3 overall.
Ski quality : 3/5
