A building located in the locality of Les Moulins, in the commune of Château-d’Œx, caught fire this Friday midday, reported the Vaud cantonal police.
The firefighters quickly intervened to contain the disaster at this location which houses a carpentry shop, a landscaping company, as well as two apartments.
“Several residents left the area and found somewhere to find new accommodation. This fire left two firefighters lightly injured,” the authorities said in a press release. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of the fire, which are not yet known.
