Newly created, the Mobile Brigade of the Vallée d'Eure extends over twelve communes in the canton: Douains, La Heunière, Saint-Vincent-des-Bois, Houlbec-Cocherel, Rouvray, Mercey, Croisy-sur-Eure, Vaux- sur-Eure, Hardencourt-Cocherel, Jouy-sur-Eure, Boncourt and Ménilles. Two soldiers are assigned to the Giverny-Paris center in Douains.
The new workforce strengthens their presence in rural areas and adapts to the territorial network. The Brigade has five soldiers, two men and three women, under the command of the chief warrant officer. Paul Brouthier. The Brigade has already provided more than ten duty stations in the canton's municipalities.
In Vaux-sur-Eure (Eure), near Pacy-sur-Eure, the gendarme Gauthier Brunet was able to speak with the municipal executive. Operations carried out by residents and those of elected officials can now be carried out at the town hall. “It saves time for everyone,” assures Constable Brunet.
For his part, Estelle Bustinfirst deputy mayor Patrick Ducroizetbelieves that “residents will be able to speak directly with the Brigade in the event of neighborhood conflicts or for any information”.
