Preserve biodiversity. The commune of Nègrepelisse, located in the department of Tarn-et-Garonne, has got, during December 2024the APIcité® label.
Around a hundred winning municipalities
Created in 2016 by the National Union of French Apiculture (UNAF), this label, granted for three years, aims to promote local policies for the protection of pollinators.
In 2024, nearly 120 municipalities French were awarded this distinction, with, among them, that of Nègrepelisse.
Our city is proud of the work carried out with Pollen Rucher Ecole (association for the defense of the bee, editor's note) and the municipal services, which allowed us to once again obtain this beautiful label”, welcomed the municipality.
Composed of three levels (1 bee, recognized approach ; 2 bees, remarkable approach ; 3 bees, exemplary approach), the Tarn-et-Garonnais village stood out in the “remarkable approach“.
A label based on several criteria
Awarded each year, the APIcité® label is based on several criteria before the presentation of the various distinctions:
- Sustainable development : municipal actions
- Management of green spaces : differentiated management; ecological treatments; pollinator-friendly practices
- Biodiversity : honey plants, plant diversity, flower meadows
- Beekeeping : training, apiaries, fight against Asian hornet
- Awareness : educational information, Events around bees and pollinators, organic meals in schools
Please note that this price also allows value andencourage municipal initiatives in favor of domestic beesof the wild pollinators and the biodiversity in urban areas.
