SENEGAL-TRANSPORTS / The government requires the registration of two-wheelers no later than March 13 – Senegalese Press Agency

Dakar, Jan 2 (APS) – The Ministry of Infrastructure and Land and Air Transport has issued notice to drivers of two-wheelers with a cylinder capacity greater than 49 cubic centimeters to register them no later than March 13.

The registration of the vehicles in question is done free of charge, according to a press release from the same ministerial department.

While waiting for the indicated deadline, the reasons for controlling two-wheelers remain in force, with the exception of registration, specifies the ministry.

He announces that ”the start of free registrations will be effective from the week of January 6, 2025”.

”After this deadline, any unregistered motorcycle will be immediately impounded,” warns the ministry.

According to the press release, this measure was taken following a working session of the same ministerial department, that in charge of Finance and Budget, and senior officials of the defense and security forces.
