Maïté, a godmother for Cyril Lignac and Philippe Etchebest
When she passed away almost two weeks ago, Maïté's successors on the small screen sent her touching words to thank her. On Instagram, Cyril Lignac wrote: “What a joy to have shared all these moments with you! Your good humor, your good cooking that we shared at your home with my parents, I will never forget“. For his part, Philippe Etchebest, who made his first television appearance on his set on France 3, declared in The Parisian : “Maïté is an emblematic figure of French cuisine. He was quite a character. She embodied traditional local cuisine, but also generosity, good humor, these little mother's or grandmother's dishes that she prepared for us at home. She certainly democratized cooking at home in a certain way, and was the initiator of the arrival of media chefs. She was an extremely caring person. (…) She had this incredible charisma, this very strong personality and this great presence on screen. She will leave an incredible void“.
