Skiing is not dead in Métabief. If on the Jougne side, the chairlifts have been stopped since the closure of the Piquemiette slopes, the Haut- resort offers “26 km of alpine ski slopes of all levels and four fun areas. Cross-country ski trails and snowshoe routes are also available to Nordic enthusiasts,” recalls Doubs Tourisme in a press release. The departmental committee is organizing five “Ski Saturday” outings in Métabief, on January 11, 18 and 25, as well as February 1 and 8. Days including coach transport and access to ski lifts at advantageous rates.

At 9 a.m. sharp at the foot of the slopes

Departures are scheduled at 7:15 a.m. from the parking lot of the Les Halles company restaurant (Trépillot area in Besançon); at 7:30 a.m. from the Battant car park in Besançon; at 7:50 a.m. at Saône station for an arrival at 9 a.m. at the foot of the slopes. “The delivery of passes and the piste map is done in the coach,” specifies the committee. The return from Métabief takes place at 5:30 p.m. Arrival in Besançon around 7 p.m. Transport alone is also offered for people wishing to practice Nordic activities (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing). Prices: €45 per adult; €30 for schoolchildren (under 18) and students; €35 for holders of the Avantages Jeunes card; €23 for transport alone. A 20% discount is granted on equipment rental from partner rental companies at the foot of the slopes.

A 6th outing in Val de Morteau

Doubs Tourisme is offering a sixth outing to the Nordic site of Gardot, next Saturday, February 15. Dedicated to Nordic activities, cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking, it will allow you to discover another part of the Sommets du Doubs massif.
