The “emergency” bill for Mayotte, devastated by Cyclone Chido, will be presented to the Council of Ministers next week and not Friday January 3, as was planned, Matignon said.
It is about “take the time to continue consultation with elected officials” of the archipelago, with whom Overseas Minister Manuel Valls spoke another 24 hours after the visit of Prime Minister François Bayrou on Monday.
“These feedbacks, these improvements to the text require verifications which take time”justifies Matignon to France Télévisions. This will not have “no impact” on its examination in Parliament, which resumes its activity on January 13.
