Corsica is placed on yellow “wind” vigilance by Météo-France services.
The alert takes effect on the night of Thursday January 2 to Friday January 3 at night, at 2 a.m. in Haute-Corse and 4 a.m. in Corse-du-Sud. It should be active until 4 p.m. in both departments.
In its bulletin, Météo-France forecasts “a fairly strong Libeccio on the western part of Upper Corsica with gusts reaching 150 km/h and 100 km/h in South Corsica.
