The first shovels were given in November. In Pléchâtel (35), south of Rennes, the Idec group has launched construction work on a new logistics platform on behalf of the German developer and asset manager Garbe Industrial Real Estate. For this XXL project, a plot of land of nearly 6 hectares was selected and a building of 27,000 m² will be constructed.
Located on a popular Rennes-Nantes axis, the platform “will be organized around four storage cells. To meet market needs and local demand, this project will be divisible in two,” indicates Idec in a press release.
Who to settle in?
On its site, Garbe indicates that delivery of the building is scheduled for September 2025. Marketing, carried out by the developer, is in progress. “We do not yet know who will settle in,” says Idec.
While the establishment of logistics platforms is regularly controversial (noise, land consumption, etc.), Idec and Garbe praise “the strong environmental dimension” of their project: “environmentally friendly” materials, “reasoned” landscaping, measurement for indoor air quality and solar panels on the entire roof. How to avoid outcry?
