Sunday December 22, the senior team of the Handball Club of Revel distinguished itself by winning its ticket for the fourth round of the Coupe de France.
The Clauzades gymnasium, in Lavaur, hosted this decisive tournament where three teams competed for qualification: Revel, Lavaur and Saint-Jean.
From the first match, Revel set the tone against Saint-Jean, winning 30 to 25. After this success, Saint-Jean faced Lavaur in a hard-fought match which ended in a draw (20- 20), maintaining the suspense until the last duel.
During the decisive match against Lavaur, the Revélois imposed their rhythm from the first minutes. Revel was able to remain solid defensively and impactful in attack. The Revel goalkeeper distinguished himself with decisive saves, while the field players showed cohesion to win 24 to 18.
Coach Sandrine Bongeot, satisfied with this performance, underlines the combativeness and commitment of her players. She congratulates the team, encouraging them to continue this momentum.
The adventure in the Coupe de France continues for the seniors, who will host Pins-Justaret in the 32nd final on Saturday January 11 at 9 p.m. at the Revel gymnasium. This sporting evening promises to be lively, with also two curtain-raising matches: the women's U18s against Tournefeuille at 4:45 p.m., followed by the men's U18s against Bram at 7 p.m.
