Sebastien Loeb chasing his dream! For the fourth year, the French driver will share a Dakar alongside Fabian Lurquin with the ambition of achieving his first victory in this legendary rally starting on Friday January 3 in Saudi Arabia. And a few days before the start of the race, the Belgian co-driver, who will begin his 14th Dakar, expressed his optimism: “We both have a good feeling with this Dacia, which we find competitive and reliable. The goal is always to win“, he first indicated to The Free.
“The level of difficulty has increased again”
He then detailed his remarks: “Sometimes you have to adjust your ambitions along the way. The Dakar is an endurance race where something can always happen. The main thing is to always give your best and make the most of the circumstances, regardless of your personal performance. Compared to previous years, the difficulty level has increased further. From this edition, 45% of the stages will be separated between motorcycles and cars, making strategy even more important. Whoever leaves first must blaze the trail for the competitors, which puts them at a disadvantage. Sportingly, it becomes more difficult, because there is more strategy to take into account and the navigation will be even more complex“. We can't wait for it to start!
