The year 2024 ended with a lot of emotion, with cries and tears of joy too. Nine babies (including twins) were born on December 31 at the Woman-mother-child hospital in Thionville. The last one is called Elya, she opened her eyes this Tuesday at 7:08 p.m.
Party pajamas
The first baby of the year 2025 arrived just a few hours later. Lexie Hurault was born this 1is January at 2:45 a.m. She is Ella's two-year-old little sister. She expands the family of Stefania, 38 years old, and Geoffrey, 35 years old, based in Guénange. The due date was January 17 but Lexie decided otherwise. She weighs 3.5 kg, measures 50 cm.
Her mother believed for a long time that the little one would be a baby in 2024. “My water broke on December 31 at 3 a.m.,” she says. The birth took longer than expected… Nothing to dampen Stefania's smile, good humor and softened face. She knew that her second daughter had a good chance of being born during the holiday season, as indicated by her adorable pink and gold pajamas prepared for the occasion.
“A marmot”
This first day of the year is also marked by the birth of little Meryl at 1:41 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, a third mother was in the labor room.
Lexie enjoys it, rests, peacefully asleep in Stefania's arms. “My daughter is a groundhog,” smiles the mother. Hopefully it lasts!
