Especially when you tell us about your job, here, in the solidarity shop on avenue des Marins, where the Agir 36 association supports many people on the path to employment. “At first, I preferred the children’s section. I put the clothes on the right way, by size. What if it was boring? Oh no, not at all. And then I'm very lucky here: I arrive at 10 a.m. when the cleaning is finished! »
She's laughing, of course. Because don't think that Fabienne has a hair in her hand. This 57-year-old grandmother defines herself as a « hyperactive ». “I like to be everywhere. I am lively and extremely curious who likes contact with the customer, certainly not the vase that we put in a corner”, thunders the one who, at the age of 16, entered working life as a leisure center activity leader.
She then discovered the joys of early childhood and, several years later, after having held other positions (particularly in industry), decided to devote herself fully to it by becoming Atsem (1). THE « job of [sa] vie » which she occupied for fifteen years and which she has not yet been able to mourn. “I had no choice but to leave this profession. rembobine-t-elle. And now it's a bit like heartbreak. Every time I go back to school, I have a little pang in my heart. We don't forget and we live with it, because we have to move forward. »

“The second hand is not the dirty hand”

Each year, around three hundred people are supported on the path to employment by the Agir 36 integration association.
We went to meet these employees who have found a professional horizon and, for some, who have discovered a vocation within the various integration projects supported by the structure. Employees in the solidarity shop, in the laundry, in sorting textiles, in the library… they tell us about their life journey and their reintegration into a professional world that has long turned its back on them.
