GUEST RTL – France Travail: why RSA beneficiaries will be automatically registered

This is one of the big changes for the month of January. Beneficiaries of RSA (active solidarity income) will be automatically registered with Travail (formerly Pôle emploi). This measure concerns more than a million people. The latter will have to sign an employment contract, with compulsory hours of activities.

Guest on RTL, this Saturday, December 28, Thibaut Guilluy, director general of France Travail, details the modalities. “What is important, when you are on the RSA or when you do not have an activity, is to be able to be supported to find a job as quickly as possible,” explains the boss of France Travail. According to the latter, itThis measure will allow “each beneficiary” to have “this support”.

An experiment was also carried out in “18 then 49 departments”. “Through the employment contract”, the objective is to define “objectives with the person” in order to succeed in “regaining integration through work”. This reform has been controversial for several months. “This engagement contract is virtuous for everyone, starting with the beneficiaries of the RSA,” assures Thibaut Guilluy.

Registrants must complete at least 15 hours of weekly activities. “The ingredients of the contract will be personalized to the needs and objectives of each person“, specifies the Director General of France Travail. Sanctions may be taken in the event of non-compliance with these obligations.
