The Monster Bike 47 motorcycle club and the Syl'vallée western village mobilized to offer gifts to the most deprived families of Lot-et-Garonne. Usually, it's Santa Claus who drops off the toys at home with his sleigh pulled by reindeer.

However, that day, almost ten Santa Clauses went collect gifts at hometransported not by reindeer, but by the horses of their powerful motorcycles.

Distribution in all weathers

In fact, for several months, the Monster Bike 47 prepares this tour to collect gifts from different establishments for the benefit of the Restos du Cœur de Casteljaloux.

Usually, Santa Claus braves bad weather to accomplish his mission. With regard to biker Santas, this was also the case: bad weather and rain did not prevent them from accomplishing theirs.

Also, at the start of the western village, the president of the club, Patrick Lestrade, started the convoy accompanied by a following car to take away all the gifts. The Santa Claus bikers first went to the town hall of Tonneins where the mayor and the councilors gave them many gifts.

Then the gang stopped at the Coccinelle supermarket in Mas d’Agenais where other gifts were given. After a notable passage through the streets of Casteljaloux, the Santa bikers made a detour to Lake Guitard where the manager had also prepared donations.

The stop at Clavier allowed the owner of the butcher shop and those of the grocery store to make their contribution. Back, in the rain, to the far West Syl'vallée village, all these gifts joined those collected the day before from the Community of Communes, the Guérin grocery store and the bikers themselves.

Furthermore, for the decorated motorcycle competition and biker Santa Claus, entries were offered by Center-Parc.

A great adventure for a good cause

The gifts were given to the manager of the Restos du coeur de Casteljaloux center, Olivier de Beaufort and to the volunteers present, Karine and her husband who unanimously agreed: “With these gifts, you will make happy childrenbecause very often these families do not have anything to offer any” and, what could be happier than parents when they see their children happy for Christmas.

Please note that in Casteljaloux, the number of people registered at Restos du coeur increased from 62 families to 164recalls the center manager. Patrick Lestrade will add: “Coluche was a biker and it is really in the spirit of the creator of the restaurants that we carried out this action. It was a great adventure for a good cause.”

Anything to review?

For Raymond Girardi, president of the community of communes, indeed Coluche had not forgotten where he came from. Restaurants, like other charitable associations, make up for the state's shortcomings to prevent people from suffering further by carrying out humanist missions.

is the 7th power in the world, but there are more and more people in need while there are ultra-billionaires which announce astronomical profits. There may be something to review.”

Anyway, for this Christmas 2024, these are all the bikers present, the Syl'vallée western village and all the partners who have earned the respect of everyone by showing their generosity and their commitment to the Restos du coeur.
