Fire – An elderly couple died in the fire in the mobile home which served as their main residence in Prémesques
Thursday evening, a house fire caused two victims in Prémesques, near Lille, in the North, we learned from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of the North. The victims are two people aged around sixty.
When the large emergency services arrived on site, it was already too late for two of the three people living in the small house, it being “totally engulfed” according to the firefighters. On Facebook, the city's mayor, Yvan Hutchinson, confirmed the “death of 2 Prémesquois”, a couple who had three children.
The son tried in vain to save his parents
Their daughter and son, who lived in the same home, were able to get out in time. According to France Bleu, the son tried to re-enter the burning house to save his parents. In vain. He was injured while trying to enter the premises through a window and had to give up due to the violence of the fire. Only the family dog was able to be recovered by the firefighters.
