The operation is no longer called Saint Bernard Night on your posters: have you changed the name?
Absolutely not. We just wanted to change the presentation of our operation, the principle of which remains the same: to take and bring back people who wish to their New Year's Eve location, by car or minibus, on the night of December 31 eu 1is January, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., within a 30 km radius around Argentan.
How many volunteers and vehicles are needed for such a night of solidarity?
Thirty volunteers including only three new ones. Some provide the standard, others the driving. We will also have twelve cars or minibuses, some of which are loaned by partners, others rented. We have vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility, in wheelchairs, who we ask to make an appointment by telephone. Only they are authorized to call us before December 31.
All your partners are also there for this night which, since 2003, has not been able to take place only in 2020?
Palette iroise, which allowed us to leave again in 2022, thanks to a donation, remains faithful to us, as does the caterer Saveurs et Qualité de Mortrée, who has been helping us with our meal for two years. Renault and Leclerc, the “historicals” are faithful. Last year, the volunteers had the pleasant surprise of receiving a flower from Vent de fleur d'Argentan. It warmed our hearts.
