This is news that should delight many climbers in the Gard. While the department has several outdoor climbing sites (Collias, Pont Saint-Nicolas, -du-, Russan, Seynes, etc.), indoor sites are becoming rarer.

After MOOV in Chusclan, Nîmes has a second room with the opening of Climb Up, in the city center, at 7 Allée Boissy-d’Anglas. It will open its doors on Friday January 31, 2025. This will be the first opening for the franchise in Occitanie.

The first, Bloc Session, is located at 52 rue Pierre-Lescot.

A climbable surface of 550m2

Climb Up Nîmes is a bouldering climbing hall with a ceiling height of 6m, with a floor area of ​​950 m2. The climbable surface, which will be of more interest to fans of the discipline, will be 550 m2.

The room offers “7 levels of difficulty to satisfy all climbers whatever their level of practice”, specifies the brand whose founder is François Petitworld champion in difficulty in , in 1997.

This new room will be equipped with a training area with kilterboard (connected tilting wall) and a bar and snack area in partnership with local producers “to relax after the session, work or wait while the children climb”.

An inauguration evening

An inauguration evening is organized on Friday January 31, 2025 by the directors of the room: Roxane and Sylvain. A show will be offered to the public with the confrontation of 6 athletes from the Climb Up team and 6 local athletes from Gard and surrounding areas.

Open days will take place on 1is and February 2, 2025.
